OMG! A Fracas Between Two rival youth groups in Obosi, Idemili North, Anambra leave houses Burnt And Many Injured

A fracas between two rival youth groups in Obosi, Idemili North, Anambra State has left no fewer than 20 people seriously injured.
The reason for the clash which resulted in 13 burnt houses, several damaged cars and a number of other causalities was alluded to the fact that members of Obosi Youths Movement (OYM) were angry at the rise of a new group, Obiano Youth Vanguard (OYV) in the area, stating it was impossible for both groups to exist side by side.
The alleged protest from OYM at the introduction of another youth movement headed by one Chimezie Chukwurah saw the burning of houses inluding that of the president-general of Obosi, Chief Dan Igbokwubili, machete cuts on many persons now recuperating in different hospitals and total disarray in the community. The OYM is also requesting that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State immediately disband the new movement.
According to Vangaurd, eye-witness accounts report that members of OYM disrupted the meeting celebrating the appointment of Chimezie Chukwurah as the chairman of Obiano Youth Vanguard armed with dangerous weapons like guns, axes, machetes and from then on, they began to move into people’s homes to cause mayhem which sent locals scampering for safety. The President -General said:  “They used machetes to destroy my gate, my wife’s shop, the security lights and part of my residential building.”
At the time of this report, we are unable to confirm if any arrests have been made.
